That's unacceptable, especially for a security program. They instructed me to periodically check if it had been fixed. I asked for an ETA or to be notified when and they refused citing that they don't want to annoy their customers. In the meantime they told me to just turn off their antivirus protection and continue to use my devices as normal. I immediately reached out and they told me a fix would come. I figured out that the culprit was Nord's antivirus protection blocking any browser usage. Suddenly I could no longer use the internet. That fixed the issue and I continued to use it. The program didn't work properly and eventually I reached out to customer service and they told me to reinstall the program. Now I have to live with 2 years of subscription I will never use. Regardless of the screenshots I provided from the chatbox, they denied refunding me. Fast forward it to a day after my trial ends, and suddenly I get connected! Only to be denied cancellation, because it was "past the 30 day trial". I went through this cycle almost every other day. 5-10-15 minutes later, I would get an error message that I am disconnected and I should try again. Every time I tried it would show me a message to wait until they connect me to a live agent. I attempted contacting their support through the chatbot many times withing the two weeks leading to my 30 day trial. I then tried to contact Nord to cancel my subscription as they deliberately not allow the users to cancel it on their own. She tried it but it didn't work, so I had to buy another VPN that works. ![]() Here's what happened, I purchased a subscription for my mom who lives in Iran so that she can connect to the Internet (due to regime restricting the network). ![]() As i've posted elsewhere, You've been warned As with so many others, contacting my cc company. You can clearly see at the top of the page when I turned auto renew off, and when I was eventually billed again, after that date. I only took the screenshots a few weeks ago because I read the other horror stories of people trying to get their money back, or having the same issue. Even though on other review sites I've seen, that's exactly what they've told others to do, to cancel! I even sent him one of the screenshots showing I canceled. All of a sudden, my credit card gets billed another year! When I contacted Nord via chat, I was told 'canceling the subscription via our website does nothing'. (Have screenshots.) Waited for term to end so I could delete Nord completely and go with another VPN. I would have to disconnect to visit several sites, as switching servers didn't always work. At almost every city I was in, a simple ip lookup revealed location, almost every time, even though Nord said it was active and connected.
